Uniform

At St John’s Church of England Primary School we believe wearing a school uniform creates a sense of pride and belonging, encourages positive behaviour and discipline, supporting effective teaching and learning.

Our school uniform has been designed to be affordable, smart practical and hardwearing. All pupils must wear the school uniform. 

If you are in financial difficulty and struggling to buy school uniform then please DO NOT hesitate to get in touch with the school office.

Girls

• School logo or plain green sweatshirt or cardigans*
• Green or white polo shirt 
• Black/dark grey trousers or skirt, white, grey or black socks / tights.

Boys

• School logo or plain green school sweatshirt*
• Green or white polo shirt 
• Black/dark grey trousers, grey or black socks.

Footwear

Sensible black shoes. Footwear should be appropriate for active play, e.g. no open-toe sandals.

Summer alternatives

• Girls may wear green/white checked/striped summer dress.
• Boys may wear black/dark grey tailored shorts (not sports or beach shorts).
• Both: On hot days hats, to protect from the sun, should be provided.

PE kit

• House colour (to be advised upon starting at St John’s) T-shirt
• Black shorts / black elasticated ankle jogging trousers
• Plimsolls / daps/ trainers appropriate to activity
• Black sweatshirt / fleece (zipper is ok – but not a hoody and no large logos).

For swimming lessons

• Trunks, jammers or a costume (no bikinis) should be provided, with a towel.

Outdoor clothing 

• Children should bring an appropriate coat or anorak during cold or wet months.

When children represent the school in sports or games teams, the school will provide appropriate school kit. Please ensure this kit is washed and returned promptly.

*School uniform branded items are available from Scholars, Warminster (details below). However, non-branded is compliant with our school uniform policy.

We also have a wide variety of items available to buy through the PTA at £1 an item.

Scholars

Regrettably, after nearly 20 years in Warminster, we have been informed that Scholars of Warminster will be closing on 31^st October 2025.

Scholars online uniform availability remains unchanged. We are working with them to arrange for any purchased uniform to be droppod off at the school ready for collection, saving postage costs.
